Prolonged dry weather status

During the last few months, Albion Eco has been liaising with its bulk water supplier, Natural Resources Wales and its customers over the impact of dry weather on resources. Rainfall since February this year currently amounts to only 58% of that typically expected in the northeast of Wales. This, combined with lower than typical flows in the River Dee, has meant that the catchment is now classed as exhibiting ‘prolonged dry weather’ status. It is important that all users recognise the impact of ongoing dry weather and re-double efforts to use our precious water resources as efficiently as possible. Albion Eco will be contacting all of its customers over the next few weeks to offer advice, support and updates to avoid unnecessary usage of water.
