Due to Albion Eco’s operational presence on Deeside, in Wales, Waterlevel (Albion Eco’s parent company) has been invited to join the Senior Management Group of Water Resources West (WRW).
Joining the first meeting of 2024, Albion Eco was able to set out some of its ambitions:
- to secure a resilient source of water to meet the demands of industrial growth in and around its Shotton NAV area
- to work with catchment partners to ‘slow the flow’ within the landscape to mitigate downstream flooding and enhance upstream storage
- to champion tighter targets for local water recycling within new build housing developments.
The need to understand agricultural and other non-public water abstractor requirements was very apparent and will be a focus of both WRW and parallel initiatives already being pursued by Waterlevel.
